Is West Michigan Ready For An Oil Boom!

Hmmm, what would you do if you received something in the mail that read something like this, "Riverside Exploration LLC of Traverse City, wants to lease the mineral rights on your property."  What do they know that you don't?  Right!  That would be my first question.  Well, Riverside wants to do this and needs to do this to pursue oil and natural gas production.  First thing I would do is talk to my attorney and if he says okay then i would say, "Go for it!"  Oklahoma, Texas and Alaska may not be the only ones with oil worth going after, after all.  Is this a good thing for Michigan or not so much?
