Have you ever thought about how long you would like to live? I'm sure we all have, and the older we get, the more we probably think about it. How about 80? 90? 100?

What about forever? Okay, that's not possible, but I know I'd like to hang out for quite awhile longer.

The New York Times published an interesting article about the longest humans can live. We know people are living longer than ever before. Modern medicine obviously plays a huge roll in that, but also life style, technology, modern inventions, etc.

So, with some mathematical formulas, and deep discussions, scientists have determined that human beings have a maximum lifespan of 115 years.

While the record for a long life is 122, set by a woman back in 1997, researchers found that the duration of life is fixed and is based on natural constraints. Eventually, our bodies just wear out and there’s nothing we can do about it.

Dr. Jan Vijg, an expert on aging at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, says, “From now on, this is it. Humans will never get older than 115.”

Dr. Vijg also said that the best hope for our species is not to extend our life spans,he argues, but to lengthen our years of healthy living — with healthy habits and perhaps drugs that can repair some of the cellular damage that comes with time.

Well, what do you think? Time to make some life changes and live longer?
