Holiday Shop Hop Is Thursday

Did you cyber shop yesterday during cyber Monday?  How about the days before, Black Friday and the like?

Bargains are everywhere,  but especially locally.  And, by locally I mean "local" stores.  Small, Grand Rapids businesses with some of the best, and unique items and deals.  The variety and uniqueness you'll find in some of our shopping districts can't be beat.

To add some glitz to your "local" quest, the adjacent business districts East Fulton, East Hills, Eastown, and Wealthy Street have created their "Uptown Holiday Shop Hop."  It's an annual affair, and it's this Thursday, December 1st, from 4 to 10 pm.

Stores are all dressed up in lights, garland and tinsel, jazz and art to photos with Santa Claus, ready to welcome shoppers with hot chocolate, free trolley rides, food and drinks at some locations, and, of course, unique gifts.

It's a great time to not only support local business, but to make it special for someone at Christmas with that unique, one-of-a-kind, gift.
