Monday is a new day! After months of being closed and after months of waiting, restaurants and bars in Michigan are allowed to reopen; and before they do, you can play an instrumental role in helping them do so.

A FREE Friday evening event is being held at the English Hills Events Centers in Comstock Park. Many West Michigan restaurants will be at the Reheat Local Eats selling gift cards and residents are encouraged to stop by and purchase as many as they can or want to. The event will be held from 5:30p-8:00p and you can show up at any time. Some businesses will also have merchandise available for you to buy at their booth, and possibly food-to-go.

The owner of English Hills, Kim Sorrelle, is the organizer of the occasion and she told Grand Rapids Magazine the purpose is to

...breathe some life back into our favorite dining spots.

And what better way to get that life back than with the support of the community.

If you are a restaurant/bar owner, a caterer, or even an entertainment venue you can register to reserve a booth for free or call (616) 784-6802.

Indoor dining has been closed since November when the Michigan Department of Health & Human Services issued the order after seeing a spike in COVID-19 cases. On February 1, businesses will have to reopen at a 25% capacity or up to 100 people. In addition, all bars and restaurants must close by 10 p.m.

English Hills Event Centers is located at 5179 West River Dr. NE, Comstock Park.
