Hawaii Kings Tour: Not a bad day

Our Hawaiian adventures continued Friday on our first full day on Hawai'i, the Big Island.

It's all part of a group trip I'm taking with about three dozen listeners from 100.5 The River on the Hawaii Kings Tour, a 13-day Hawaiian escape with YMT Vacations.

The day included:

Smelling the fragrant orchids at a farm and nursery near Hilo.
A trek through Thurston's Lava Tube and a visit to an active volcano, Halema`uma`u Crater, in Hawai'i Volcanoes National Park.
Concluding with a cup of pure Kona coffee at Royal Kona Visitor Center, Mill & Museum in Captain Cook.

To sum it up: Not a bad day.
