You still have a chance to see cars that fly, spiders that talk, letters that scold and trees that fight back. Say what? How, Where, When?

See all of this in HD on a 40-foot screen with all the dialogue and all of the sound effects. But John Williams’ entire score performed live by your Grand Rapids Symphony!

Last January, Grand Rapids Symphony sold out three performances of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone, the first film in the series. Today, Saturday, September 30th, are the final two Grand Rapids Symphony’s performances of Harry Potter in Concert featuring Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, the second of eight films in the Harry Potter franchise.

What a cool time you will have at the concert. The lobby of DeVos Performance Hall will be decorated in trappings of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Guests can take photos with a Sorting Hat or sample Butterbeer, which will be sold in alcoholic and non-alcoholic versions. Free wands will be handed out to the first 500 at each show. Members of the Grand Valley State University Quidditch Team will meet and greet Harry Potter fans.

And, the symphony is encouraging you to come in costume if you like.

Here are the details. There is a matinee today at 2 p.m. and an evening show at 7:30 p.m. tonight.  All performances are at DeVos Performance Hall, 303 Monroe Ave. NW, Grand Rapids, MI 49503.
