The Grand Rapids Public Library is going mobile!

The library announced that they are going to be catering to those who can't visit one of their branches by offering their services on wheels. GRPL will be making stops across neighborhoods in the city and providing internet access, material pickup, and checkout. The  mobile library will also provide services to classrooms to support teachers and students and senior centers helping them troubleshoot technology, checkout materials, and bring large-print collections.

GRPL's mobile library begins this Saturday and they will be at LINC Up (1167 Madison Ave. SE) from 11a-1p. The van will also have stops on:

  • Tuesday's: Hispanic Center of West Michigan (1204 Grandville Ave. SW) from 4p-6p
  • Thursday's: Boys & Girls Club Seidman Center (139 Crofton St. SE) from 3:30p-5:30p

More routes will be added in the future.

You can browse GRPL's catalog and place something on hold to pick it up at one of the mobile stops. If you don't have a library card you can sign up for one through the Mobile Library as well.

When visiting the Mobile Library, you must wear a mask (ages 5+) and follow other health guidelines.
