UPDATE: Parents are being advised to call the school at 616-819-2100 if they have any questions.

UPDATE: The GRPD has said in a follow up tweet that one person (who is not a student at the school) has been injured. The school is currently on lock down and all students are safe and secure inside of the building. Parents are still asked to be patient, and more information will be coming soon. Immaculate Heart of Mary School is also on lock down as a precaution at this time.

The Grand Rapids Police Department tweeted late Thursday morning that they were working at 'critical incident' at Ottawa Hills High School. The school is located on Rosewood Ave. in Grand Rapids.

In the tweet, the GRPD asked people to stay away from the school at this time. They've established a perimeter around the school.

The tweet also stated that information will be sent out to parents soon.

This is a developing story.
