Doctors and nurses have been on the front line of the fight against COVID-19 for well over a month now, While we've heard the stories of what's happening in the hospital, they're living the story. So it's good for us at home, to see some positives, and for the medical pros to see wins in this unbelievable time.

Mercy Health posted a video on Facebook Wednesday afternoon of their first COVID-19 critical care patient being discharged. The doctors and nurses lined the hospital to cheer the patient on his way, with him responding,

"Just thank you for saving my life. It means the world to me. "

Such a great moment both for the patient, but also the staff, who are undoubtedly working very long hours to help their patients. The nurse sends him off with, "now go enjoy your life."  which is a great response.   This is definitely the good news we all could use today.

The post from Mercy Health ends this story perfectly,

This is what our remarkable health care colleagues on the front lines of COVID-19 are fighting for.

Thank you!
