After the past couple of winters we've had in Grand Rapids it's hard to imagine it getting any worse, but you never know what's in store.

El Nino is expected to have a major effect on weather this winter in West Michigan and beyond. The outlook is good for those hoping for a less severe winter.

The map below shows all of Michigan in areas most likely to see a warmer-than-average winter. The further north you go the more likely it is that you will see warmer-than-average temperatures.
