The MHSAA has announced its tournament schedule for all its winter sports, and Grand Rapids will be the site for many sports, most notably, the basketball semi-finals.

The boys and girls basketball tournaments will begin with the district rounds the week of March 22 and continue through the boys championships games on April 10.

The championships will be held at MSU's Breslin Center, as always, but with the boys and girls tournament squeezed into the same timeline this season (they're traditionally staggered by a week), some semi-finals have been shifted to Grand Rapids' Van Andel Arena.

Van Andel will host the girls Division 2 and 4 semi-finals on April 7. Division 4 will tip off at 10am, and Division 2 at 3:30pm.

The boys semi-finals will be held the following day at the same times. The Division 1 and 3 semi-finals will still be held at the Breslin Center.

Past girls basketball finals have been held at Calvin University.

Other local venues hosting events include Rockford High School, hosting the state Gymnastics championships on Friday, March 26 and Hudsonville and Jenison High School will host the Division 1 and 2 Swimming championships respectfully, beginning on Friday March 26.

Van Andel will also host the Division 2 and 4 individual Wrestling finals on Friday April 2 and Saturday April 3.
