After months of being closed, the Grand Rapids Art Museum has finally announced they'll be reopening to the public this Saturday, August 1st.

Just like everything else, art lovers will have to abide by changes before visiting the GRAM. The following protocols will have to be abided by all guests:

  • Wearing a face mask the entire time of visit for those over the age of 2.
  • Staff, guests, and volunteers will be required to have a temperature check when entering.
  • One-way traffic throughout the museum
  • Limiting visits to 2 hours.
  • Because bag check is suspended, guests are asked not to bring any large bags or items inside.

Guests are also encouraged to buy tickets in advance online. Those who do, will receive 10% off their ticket price. Certain areas of the museums will also be blocked off temporarily, including interactive activities.

The GRAM has also increased their cleaning of high-traffic and high-touch areas and will be doing a deep cleaning when closed. Hand sanitizer stations will also be set up throughout the museum for guests.

GRAM will be operating on temporary hours from noon to 6p on Tuesday & Saturday's and 12p-9p on Thursday's. Tuesday and Thursday will remain Meijer Free Days which means free admission to the public.
