Fresh Fruit Sold at Walmart, Aldi & Costco is Being Recalled
The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is sending out a warning to people that their fruit could be one of the ones on the recall list.
- 1,727 cartons of Fresh Peaches
- 1,207 cartons of Fresh Nectarines and
- 365 cartons of Fresh Plums
The fruit could possibly be contaminated with listeria after a routine sampling found the bacteria. All distribution has been seized until the source of the problem is discovered. No illnesses have been reported thus far.
These fruits were sold at Walmart, Aldi and Costco (and other small retailers) in 18 states including Michigan. People who purchased the fresh peaches, nectarines and/or plums are asked to return them for a refund.
