After Governor Whitmer put a temporary ban on large gatherings (250+ people), Frederik Meijer Gardens announced that they would also be closing to the public.

The effect went into place 5 p.m. on Friday and it's unknown as to when they will reopen. Per their press release, they'll "open again as soon as possible."

They say that even though they have large outdoor and indoor spaces, they are erring on the side of caution as the pandemic of COVID-19 continues.

Classes and private events will continue as long as it's a group of 100 or less people. If you did sign up for a class between now and April 12, you can request a refund.
