The Mitten State is getting recognized as one of the premier spots for wine in the country! Not only is a Michigan location in the running for "Top Wine Country in the U.S." in a USA Today poll, but four resorts in the state are competing for "Best Wine Country Hotel in America".

Twenty hotels that "provide a perfect place to relax over a glass of wine after a day of touring and tasting in wine regions around the country," have been nominated by a panel of experts. And now it's up to us to vote!

Have you stayed at any of these Michigan hotels?

Chateau Chantal in Traverse City, Hotel Walloon in Walloon Lake, the Inn at Blackstar Farms in Suttons Bay, and Marina Grand Resort in New Buffalo are all in the running.

Two were also nominated last year: Hotel Walloon and the Inn at Blackstar Farms; Blackstar Farms actually ended up winning the whole thing!

Lake Michigan Shore offers more than twenty wineries for guests to enjoy as the largest of the Michigan wine regions. We can vote for our favorite once per day until polls close on Monday, August 2 at noon ET. The winning hotels will be announced on Friday, August 31.
