Two way Michigan star Charles Woodson will add a Hall of Fame plaque to this list of awards. The Heisman Trophy winner was elected into the College Football Hall over the weekend.

Woodson, who was primarily a defensive back, also saw action on offense during Michigan's national championship season in 1997. He is the only primarily defensive player to win the Heisman Trophy, handed out annually to the best player for that season. Woodson had 18 career interceptions for the Wolverines, and 30 blocked passes.

The College Football Hall of Fame is located in Atlanta, GA and will induct the class of 2018 on December 4, 2018 in New York City. The remainder of the class will be announced today.

Woodson went on to play 18 years in the NFL with the Oakland Raiders and Green Bay Packers. He is best known for his stirring half time speech to his Packer teammates at Super Bowl XLV. After breaking his collar bone defending a pass in the first half, he implored his teammates to win the game, which they did.

Woodson currently is an analyst on ESPN's NFL Sunday Countdown Show, and his co-hosts surprised him with the announcement yesterday.
