Berlin Raceway in Marne beat out 21 other racetracks across the country and will receive $50,000 as winner of the Advance Auto Parts “Advance My Track Challenge.”

Fans across the country voted for their favorite home tracks, so the West Michigan track is thanking their local fans for the win.

During the final round of voting on May 9th and 10th, the track got an unexpected boost from NASCAR veteran Kenny Wallace who tweeted out support for the West Michigan track:

With the $50,000 prize the track can make improvements to the fan experience. In the run up to the final voting, officials at Berlin noted that after a very tough 2020 season impacted by the pandemic, the cash prize could go a long way at the community track. Including possible upgrades to the 71 year-old concession area and a new hospitality deck.

This honor belongs to the West Michigan community, the fans, the race teams and the staff of the Berlin Raceway. I could not be prouder of the support we received both locally and nationwide. It’s a privilege to work for a track that has a legacy like the Berlin Raceway does. -Track President Jeff Striegle to MLive.com

Along with the $50,000 grand prize, Berlin Raceway will host an Advance Auto Parts-themed night for fans during an upcoming weekend of racing.
