Michigan summers were meant to be enjoyed outdoors which makes finding the time to get to yoga class more challenging. This summer, that's not going to be a problem.

The Michigan DNR says Muskegon State Park will host Great Lakes Beach Yoga all summer!

Diana of Serene Yoga will host the weekly, hour-long class on Wednesdays at 10:30AM at Muskegon State Park’s Channel Beach. Classes start June 1 and run through August. Cost is $10 per week. Discounts are available for the monthly rate of $28 which includes four classes. In the event of rain, yoga classes will be held in the Channel Lane Pavilion.

Yoga on the beach is part of a partnership among the DNR, mParks (Michigan Recreation and Park Association), Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan and fitness instructors called MI Big Green Gym. The goal of the program is to get people outdoors while staying fit. Other activities featured this summer include Pilates, strength training and cardio work. Read a full list of programs scheduled for June.
