Downtown Grand Rapids’ Ritz Koney Loses Lease, Will Close in February

The Ritz Koney Bar & Grille on Ionia Ave. in downtown Grand Rapids has announced that they will be closing their doors for good in February.

In a Facebook post on their page Wednesday, owners Kevin and Keith stated that the restaurant will be closing on Feb. 23. According to the post, the landlord of the building where Ritz Koney has been located for the past several years has elected to not renew their lease and is instead putting a different restaurant in that location.

Ritz Koney was given 30 days to vacate the location.

The Facebook post also thanks their families, friends, vendors, and patrons for their ten years of business. Here is the restaurant's statement from Facebook:
