French Fries are as American as Apple Pie, Mom and Chevrolet.  And, like millions of others I just have to have them when I have a burger.

At the fast food places, Burger King, McDonalds, Wendy's and others, the competition in the french fry market has gotten fierce.  Mickey Ds’ traditionally grabs the top spot when it comes to favorite fries, but Wendy’s took a run at it with new “natural cut” fries seasoned with sea salt.

Now, it's Burger King's turn with bigger fries.  Yep...BIGGER!

The new Burger King fries will be thicker and have an added coating that makes them stay hotter longer.

The good news is that even though the new fries are thicker, they have 20 percent less sodium than the old recipe and are cooked in trans fat-free vegetable oil, and a small order is only 240 calories, according to Burger King.

Okay, that's all well and good, but for my taste, I like some of our local restaurants fries.  Two of my favorites are the Choo-Choo Grill, and the Schnitz Ada Grill.  Mmmmm, good.  Get the Cheese Burger with fries at the Choo-Choo, and the Black & Blue Burger with fries at the Ada Grill.   We're talkin' a little bit of Burger AND Fries heaven!
