Detroit Red Wings Captain Shows Off Dog

Nearly a quarter of million people are following the Detroit Red Wings on TikTok. It's the team's verified account and their latest effort shows the team's captain showing off his dog.

#71 Dylan Larkin is seen picking up his large dog and mugging for the camera. The sheep dog is a black and white Bernedoddle and is wearing a Detroit Red Wings bandana. Her name is Ellie. Ellie Larkin.

The team launched their TikTok account back on July 19, 2019. Throughout this time, the different players have showcased their pets. This is the first time the captain has participated in the pet show and tell.

This particular post received almost 2600 likes. 41 people have commented on the post and not all of the comments are positive.

JMSK said,

"I used to look at my favorite team and think WOW, Now I look at my used to be favorite team and just shake my head."

The NHL replied to the post with "Too Wholesome."

motor_city1986 asked if Larkin could be traded as he's the worst captain in Red Wing history.

RCS_godly stated,

"OMG I love her not quite as much as a ticket to the game."

A few fans did appreciate Larkin and the dog.

Not sure if Jendog2019 was talking about the dog or the captain.

The Red Wings pre-season begins on September 30 as they host the Buffalo Sabres at Little Caesars Arena. The regular season starts on October 14 against the Tampa Bay Lightning at Little Caesars Arena. The puck drops at 7:30pm. Tickers are currently on sale.
