‘Dear Evan Hansen’ And ‘My Little Pony: A New Generation’ Are Your Weekly Double Features

This weekend is pretty quiet in the new movie scene with only one big new movie out in theaters and one new kids cartoon movie streaming on Netflix.

Dear Evan Hansen is an adaptation of the Broadway phenomenon with the same name brought to the big screen.  It's the story of a high schooler who is struggling with how to belong in the social media focused world of today.  Through a tragedy, Evan begins to find his way and help a grieving family in the process.

Dear Evan Hansen isn’t getting great reviews with Rotten Tomatoes scoring it a 35% and metacritic right there too with a 38/100.  You can see Dear Evan Hansen in theaters now.

My Little Pony: A New Generation

My Little Pony: A New Generation is a Netflix exclusive movie that tells the story of when My Little Pony's home of Equestria lost its magic.  All of the Earth Ponies, Unicorns, and Pegasi are now living apart and it's up to Earth Pony Sunny to figure out how to reunite them all.

My Little Pony: A New Generation is actually getting solid reviews with Rotten Tomatoes scoring it a 100%.  You can check out My Little Pony: A New Generation streaming on Netflix right now.
