Dad’s Can be a Real Rube Goldberg at the Grand Art Museum on Father’s Day
Here's something for for dear old Dad to do tomorrow, Father's Day. Become a modern day Rube Goldberg at the Grand Rapids Art Museum!
The Grand Rapids Art Museum is holding a fun event tomorrow, Father’s Day that allows families (who am I kidding: DADS) to construct their own mini-golf hole using recycled materials. Inspired by the artist/inventor Rube Goldberg.
Goldberg's work and inventions are currently on display at the GRAM, and all Dads have the opportunity to construct a mini-golf hole and incorporate it into a mini-course that people can play at the GRAM. The event is free with paid entrance to the GRAM. It runs from Noon to 4 p.m. tomorrow, Sunday, June 18.
The Art of Rube Goldberg exhibit has brought together more than 75 drawings, rare photographs, sketches, and animated films, as well as rare personal photographs and memorabilia from the Goldberg family archives, to bring to life one of 20th century America’s most wildly talented innovators.
