Thankfully Grand Rapids area residents have another place to get tested for COVID-19 if they need it.

Beginning Friday, the 29th CVS Pharmacy at 1550 Lake Drive SE in Grand Rapids will be one of 16 testing sites CVS is opening in Michigan. Governor Whitmer commended the news

This is great news for our families, our businesses, and the heroes on the front lines of the COVID-19 pandemic. We need to keep working to expand testing, which is why it is crucial that Michiganders who have COVID-19 symptoms, even mild ones, or have been in contact with someone who has the virus can get tested (via FOX 17).

Tests will be done drive-thru style by a self-swab and will be at no cost to you. In order to get a test, you must first schedule an appointment and answer a few questions to see if you qualify for a test. You can expect back your results in 2-4 days. CVS stresses that testing will only be done by drive-thru and not inside the actual store. Get started here.

In a press release from CVS, they will now have 1,000 testing sites across 31 states and since mid-March have performed over 200,000 tests.
