Circle Theatre continues their Main Stage season this month with a Magic Circle production of Joseph Robinette’s dramatization of the children’s classic Charlotte’s Web starting on Wednesday, June 29 at 7:00 p.m. inside the Performing Arts Center on the campus of Aquinas College.

All the characters are here: Wilbur, the irresistible young pig who desperately wants to avoid the butcher; Fern, a girl who understands what animals say to each other; Templeton, the gluttonous rat who can occasionally be talked into a good deed; the Zuckerman family; the Arables; and, most of all, the extraordinary spider, Charlotte, who proves to be "a true friend and a good writer."

“Charlotte's Web is family fun for all ages. This is the classic story that we've grown up reading or watching on VHS so it's about time we get to experience it on the stage,” says Ben Avery, who plays Wilbur in Charlotte’s Web. “Circle is one of the most important entities in the Grand Rapids community that make the performing arts worth going to see or volunteering for. It draws in young talent, such as myself, that wouldn't have otherwise known where to start in community theatre.”

Audience members are also welcome to join an exclusive party celebrating Magic Circle's 50th Anniversary prior to the opening performance of Charlotte’s Web on June 29 at 5:30 p.m.  Pre-opening night celebration tickets can be purchased through the box office and are $25 for children, $15 for adults.

Other Charlotte’s Web shows will run June 30 and July 1 at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m., and July 2 at 12 p.m. and 3 p.m. For more information or to purchase tickets, please call the box office at 616-456-6656 or visit Circle’s website www.circletheatre.org
