If you're a Celebration Cinema member you may have gotten the e-mail that they have closed until further notice.

After Governor Whitmer's recent ban on gatherings of 50 people or more, all their theaters have closed for the meanwhile. If you already purchased a ticket online, you will be receiving a refund. If you purchased a ticket in person, you will get a "readmit pass" when the theater reopens.

I can't say I'm surprised as theaters everywhere are taking a loss due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This past weekend, Hollywood took its biggest hit at the box-office in nearly 22 years.

So what to do in the meantime? You have lots of options for movies on one of the several streaming services or you can always kick it old school and pull out some of those old DVDs.

Celebration Cinema recommends reading the 1965 novel, Dune, before its released in theaters this October. It's over 800 pages so if you have the patience for that... Godspeed!
