Heads up if you’re a member of the military (past, present or reserve) or a family member, then you should definitely know about the upcoming Career Development Expo coming up on March 30th.

The Career Development Expo is for Military members (currently serving Active duty, National Guard or Reserve or past service from all branches) and their family members and is presented by the West MI Veterans Coalition.

It’s only going on from 9 am to noon but they plan to have employers from some of Michigan’s top companies and that’s not all.

They’ll also offer on-site, one on one resume, interview and job prep assistance from some of the top HR professionals in the area.

Plus, you'll be able to get info on post-secondary education as well as find out about the WMVC Armed Forces Scholarship that’s available for both military members and their families.

Are you looking to learn more about educational opportunities to include trade and technical schools, community colleges, and four-year universities?
The West Michigan Veterans Coalition/Region 4 Veterans Community Action Team and Citizen Soldier for Life invites you to attend the first-ever Career Development Expo for Military & Families.

Want to go?  It’s happening at the Grand Valley Armory at 1200 44 St. SW in Wyoming.  And you’ll need to let them know you’re interested because it’s only 3 hours long and they want to be able to help everyone interested.

If you want to go, grab a free ticket HERE.   You can get more info from the event Facebook page HERE. You can also get some resume help ahead of time and some other help if you're trying to figure out how your military experience translates to everyday life from the Facebook event page.

They also plan to do some raffles at the end of the event, so if you go, make sure you get a raffle ticket!
