Cannonsburg Ski Area Hoping to Make Snow, Not Open Yet

Snow lovers are ready to head outdoors, but the weather hasn't cooperated. Cannonsburg Ski Area is doing everything they can to speed up the process.

This time of year, if the slopes aren't already packed with snow, Cannonsburg Ski Area hears one question; when are you going to open?

The answer is hopefully soon.

Cannonsburg's snowmakers are ready, but we haven't consistently reached ideal snowmaking conditions.

Ideal conditions are:

• 28 degrees fahrenheit
• low humidity
• low wind
• six consecutive hours of ideal conditions

Cannonsburg says they'll be making snow at every opportunity. This week's forecast looks promising.
