Byron Township Little League Loses in State Championship Game
A great season by Byron Township's Little League team, but it has come to the end of the road.
Byron Township lost 6-5 to Midland in today's Little League state championship game.
Byron Township trailed 5-0 early in the game. They fought back to within 5-4 after 5 innings, then were able to add another run in the top of the 6th to tie the game.
Midland loaded the bases with one out in the bottom of the 6th. Byron Township struck out the next batter, but Midland hit a 2-out a single and earned a 6-5 walk-off win.
Not the result Byron Township was hoping for, but a fantastic effort.
