They will play Grand Rapids' Van Andel Arena on Dec. 9 along with special guest The J. Geils Band.

The tour will be Seger’s most extensive since the 2006-2007 "Face The Promise" Tour and will give Seger & his Silver Bullet Band the opportunity to perform once more for fans across the U.S. and Canada, including stops in New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Boston, Dallas, Houston, Cleveland, Atlanta, Pittsburgh Buffalo, Toronto, Tampa, Ft. Lauderdale and Phoenix.

Tickets for the first leg of the tour, including the Grand Rapids date, will go on sale Saturday, Oct. 4, at 10 a.m. local time on Ticketmaster.com and LiveNation.com.

"Ride Out," Seger's first studio album in eight years, is being released Oct. 14.

Bob Seger & The Silver Bullet Band kick off The "Ride Out" Tour on Nov 18 at Saginaw's The Dow Event Center. There is also a Dec. 11 date at United Center in Chicago.

"Ride Out" is Seger's first studio album since the platinum-selling "Face the Promise," and can be pre-ordered on Amazon. It was preceded by Seger’s cover of John Hiatt’s "Detroit Made." The album also includes Seger’s take on ‘California Stars’ by Wilco and Billy Bragg.

Seger has debuted several originals from "Ride Out" in performances in concert over the past few months, including "All of the Roads," "You Take Me In" and "Gates of Eden." "Face the Promise" had marked the end of lengthy break following 1995′s "It’s a Mystery."

A suburban Detroit native from Lincoln Park, the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and Songwriters Hall of Fame inductee is 69 years old.
