These Incredible Photos Show Blue Ice Piling Up near the Mackinac Bridge

Spectacular photos are almost guaranteed for any traveler who ventures to Northern Michigan in winter. But the photos taken recently of blue ice along the shores of the Straits of Mackinac near the Mackinac Bridge are truly incredible.

Kelly Alvesteffer was on a trip to Mackinac City where, she told MLive.com,

We instantly saw it. It was like, 'Look at the blue ice,'" said Alvesteffer, who with LaLone photographs student sports teams for Cedar Springs Public Schools. They are two of a handful of photographers whose blue ice photos are catching people's attention.
