Gypsy Jazz Coming to St. Cecilia Music Center in March [Video]

Great Jazz continues in Grand Rapids, and March 10, 2016, is the night Grand Rapids will hear the newest star, dynamic young French Jazz Vocalist Cyrille Aimée with a night of Gypsy Jazz at the St. Cecilia Music Center. She is certainly on a roll, as her latest album, "Let's Get Lost" recently hit #1 on the Jazz Charts.

Aimée's "Let's Get Lost" world tour includes stops in Paris, New York, Toyko and Grand Rapids. Her band includes Sam Anning on bass, drummer Raj Jayaweera—alongside the handpicked guitar tandem of Adrien Moignard and Michael Valeanu.

Aimée won the Sarah Vaughan International Jazz Vocal Competition in 2012, the same year she released her self¬-produced, “Live at Birdland". She caught the attention of Stephen Sondheim, who cast her in an Encores Special Presentation starring Bernadette Peters at New York City's City Center in November 2013. Holding her own as an actress, the New York Daily News exclaimed, "Aimée is the revelation."
