This time every year they host their High School Holiday Tournament, and 18 boys and girls teams were scheduled to play on today, Yesterday and today, Friday, alone. They decided to move Thursday's games to earlier times in the hopes of getting them in. As of this moment, they'll decide on the rest of the weekend soon.
The American Hockey League yesterday announced that the Grand Rapids Griffins' home game against the Cleveland Monsters scheduled for tonight, Friday, December. 23 at Van Andel Arena has been rescheduled for Wednesday, Jan. 4 at 7 p.m. due to the severe winter storm affecting the Midwest.
All tickets for Friday’s game will be valid for the new Jan. 4 date. Ticket holders who would prefer to exchange their tickets for another game can visit griffinshockey.com/exchange-request-form.
The Griffins next game is next Wednesday, December 28 when they travel to Rockford to face the IceHogs at 8 p.m. EST. Grand Rapids’ next home contest is on New Year’s Eve when the Milwaukee Admirals pay a 6 p.m. visit to Van Andel Arena. That's always a tradition here in Grand Rapids with families coming out for some great hockey and fireworks after the game. Yes, fireworks in the Arena!
