This is a great story of People Doing Good in Sparta.

Fox 17 tells the story of Aricka Herin who was diagnosed with throat cancer just before Christmas.  She was supposed to get married later this year, but with the new diagnosis and surgery needed to help remove the cancer, she and her fiancé Chad decided to move the wedding up to January 20th, before she goes into surgery on the 23rd.

Aricka Herin told Fox 17, why she decided to have her wedding before she went in for surgery to remove her thyroid.

“Everything is going to change. I’m going to have a massive incision that’ll run just below the ear on the right side, straight down almost to my collar bone across the front of my neck and back up to the left side. I didn’t want that weighing down our wedding pictures and letting that be our memory.”

Her community stepped up to help make this dream a reality, donating everything from a dress to decorations to photos.  And now from a Facebook post today from Biggby Coffee of Sparta, MI ,they plan to donate all their tips from both Friday and Saturday this weekend to Aricka and Chad for the wedding.

SPARTA L💙VE. Let’s help her make her dream a reality! Today we had the pleasure of watching her interview take place in our lobby.

Tomorrow and Saturday (Jan 12-13), all, and we mean ALL, tips collected will go towards the cause!!

Please HELP us show some Sparta 💙!!

Let’s go grab some coffee!
