Isn't it just like Betty Ford to choose a "spiritual" to start off her funeral here in Grand Rapids.  Back in the day before it was politically incorrect to use the term "negro" it was referred to as a "Negro spiritual".  Spirituals are raw, honest, bluesy, transparent, beautiful and real.  Just like Betty Ford!  It's no wonder she chose Done Made My Vow! It was sung, I believe by someone in the Marine Corps.  Didn't catch his name.  Sorry. The video I posted is an arrangement of Done Made My Vow however; it pales in comparison to the stunning arrangement done acapella by a choir in Grand Rapids. Once again GR makes us proud!!!  ps And then Betty chose one of my all time favorite songs, Let There Be Peace On Earth. At least I get to play it at Christmas time on the radio.
