I'm Mike and I have wanted to work in radio my whole life. I like life quotes and powerful song lyrics. I may not look it, but at heart, I'm a metal-head. I grew up in the small town of Whitehall, graduating in 2012. I played Saxophone in the band (marching, and concert band) ran cross country, threw discuss and pole-vaulted in track for 5 years and played tennis for three years as well as being involved in choir and theater. It was in theater I learned I loved voice acting and voice impressions. I followed that passion by making a YouTube channel (shameless self-plug) where I would play video-games online and make other players laugh with random voices from popular TV shows and movies. I went to Muskegon Community College for an associate in Broadcasting and multimedia production. I have always loved trying new things and testing my own abilities and limits. It was that tenacity that brought me here to GR. I have been working here for just over a year now and it has been a dream come true. Working with people who I have always looked up to as broadcasters but now I can call them co-workers and friends. "Do what you love and love what you do. Do all things in love and it will come to you. Take what you need and need what you take. there is one life to live and it is the one that you make." -Billy Thorpe, "Simple Life"
