We've all been to a thrift shop at one time or another. Whether it's a Goodwill or other brand, you know what to expect: donated items of all kinds: clothes, toys, kitchenware, electronic equipment, vinyl records (usually very terrible ones), books, tapes, movies, plates, silverware, tables, shoes, games, all kinds of kick-knacks, and more endless stuff.

The Michigan thrift shop seen in the gallery below is believed to have been closed down sometime in the 2010s. The owner had passed away in 2017 at the age of 68, but it's not known whether she died before or after the closing.

This long building is littered throughout, with boxes piled high all the way the entire length. It looks like EVERYTHING was left behind, items still left on the shelves, and jammed into boxes that were never retrieved. There were so many flammable items that the videographers called city hall to warn them that this place was a very likely fire hazard. City hall did not take the time to return their call. (By the way, the videographers must have indeed acquired permission to enter – otherwise why would they call city hall to tell them about the building's condition?)

Upon going through the place, it looks as if someone had actually been living there for a while, with a little room fixed up like living quarters, complete with a bed and refrigerator. And speaking of the fridge, when the videographer opened the fridge door, he was hit smack in the face by the rancid stench of rotted food and threw up.

Even though this building was demolished in late 2019, the location has still been kept quiet as a way of respect to any past and present property owner.

Now take a look at the gallery below and see what this abandoned shop looked like pre-demolition...
