What in the world is up with this Michigan travel tip? How can you go from Flat Rock to Flat Rock? It's absolutely true!

You can drive from Flat Rock, Michigan to Flat Rock, Michigan in about six hours and thirty minutes? Huh? And, If you are really adventurous, you could walk it in six days and 13-hours! Totally crazy!

There are actually two Flat Rock, Michigan's, one in the Upper Peninsula, and one south of Detroit. Go figure.

Flat Rock, in southeast Michigan, is a small community of a little over 10,000 residents. Their economy is not very strong with an unemployment rate of over six percent, but household income is decent of about $63,000.

There isn't a lot of information on the Flat Rock in the Upper Peninsula. The earliest information found about the town dates back to 1895. It is in Delta County, and if you travel west just a bit, you leave the Eastern Time Zone to the Central Time Zone. That may be the biggest thing about this Flat Rock.

It is near Escanaba, that you can see in da moonlight.....get it?
