The rescuer of "Daniel," the 26 toed cat, said she just had a feeling about him.  When she visited Animal Control to rescue another kitty, little Daniel stuck his big paw with all the extra toes out of his cage as if to say, "I need to be rescued, too."

Amy Rowel, owner of an animal shelter in Wisconsin, said she does not ignore signs such as those.  She believe that everything happens for a reason, and this was one of those times.  Amy's shelter takes in animals that might otherwise be euthanized. It looks like Daniel is helping to save the shelter because lots of donations are coming in at $1 per toe:-)  So far the shelter has raised $80,000.  You can help too!
