One thing about Michigan is the scenery and landscape of the entire state are breathtaking. There are several places to experience these beautiful sunsets.

When I asked Big Joe about the best places to see the sunsets, the two places he immediately suggested are Holland State Park and Grand Haven Pier. According to the website, Holland State Park is the most visited park in Michigan. The beach at Holland State Park is open to an all-day pass or a Recreation Passport.

2. Lookout Park

This mini-park is the best location to see astonishing views of downtown Grand Rapids and the Grand River. Lookout Park is one of the eight parks in the Belknap Lookout neighborhood. There are plenty of things to do at the park including rolling down the hills, playing baseball or pickleball, and feeling the wind through your hair as you swing on the playground.

3. Traffic

Now, I hope this is a joke because of the traffic on the 131 southbound. Grand Rapids' traffic is not as bad as D.C. However, it still brings me only devastation.

4. Downtown

Living downtown has been the best part of moving to Grand Rapids. I have not filled my gas tank up yet. Everything is within walking distance of each other. If any friends want to hang out, it is nice to know that I am within walking distance of the location.

5. Yesterdog

According to Wikipedia, Yesterdog is "known for being the model for the restaurant hang out of the characters in American Pie film." This is one of Big Joe's favorite places so I definitely need to eat there.

6. Nothing yet

This is so sad. Well, you can listen to The Big Joe Show because we always give plenty of suggestions of places to go and things to do. 😉
