5-Time Grammy Winner Christian McBride Playing at St. Cecilia

St. Cecilia Music Center (SCMC) brings the five-time GRAMMY®-winning jazz bassist Christian McBride and his trio to Grand Rapids on Thursday, November 16, 2017.

With 5 GRAMMY® wins and 8 GRAMMY® nominations Christian McBride has been described as a force of nature. Now in his third decade, McBride has become one of the most requested, most recorded, and most respected figures in music today.

This fall, he’ll only play five cities: New York, Newark, Chicago, Denton, TX and Grand Rapids. “We are lucky to have him here,” says Cathy Holbrook, Executive Director of St. Cecilia Music Center. “Those who come to the concert will be in for a great evening of musical genius.”

Joining McBride is pianist Emmet Cohen and guitarist Dan Wilson in a concert entitled “McBride’s Tip City”.

A post-concert party is open to all ticket-holders giving the audience the opportunity to meet the artists and obtain signed CDs of their releases.
