The parents of the youngest victim of Saturday's Kalamazoo shooting spree spoke to reporters Monday. The young victim has been identified as Abigail Kopf. She remains in Bronson Hospital in critical condition.

Saturday night, Abigail was with her Grandma Barb Hawthorne attending a play at Miller Auditorium, something the pair did often together.

Abigail was originally reported dead by several sources, it was only later in the day on Sunday that we learned that she is very much alive.

Speaking about the girl's condition, one of her doctors said to the media, "We are encouraged by her relative stability over the last several days, and her responsiveness to her parents and our team."

Abigail's mother, Vicki, was adamant at the news conference, saying that everyone needs to know that her daughter "is not dead".

Abigail's father, Gene, made a statement directly to Jason Dalton's family saying, "Our thoughts are with the Dalton family, who are also suffering at this time. We want his family to know that we don't hold anything against the family members."
