Grand Rapids Vacation Destination

It looks like we got the short end of it again. Travel & Leisure magazine's Best Cities for Summer Travel survey is out for 2011. The top spot in the survey goes to Portland, Oregon for its climate, farmers' markets, inventive cafes and for an abundance of microbrews. The rest of the top five included Seattle, Washington; Portland, Maine; San Diego, California; and Providence, Rhode Island. I'll be T & L didn't even give us a look. We have all those things and more. What are your favorite MICHIGAN vacation cities. Traverse City comes to mind. What about Bellaire, MI. Hard to beat Pentwater and the nearby sand dunes.
