Some activities include the kids, while others are more for the adults.

    The Rhoades McKee Reeds Lake Triathlon and Duathlon is one of Grand Rapids oldest triathlons. In 2019, the race will be celebrating our 36th year of racing.  Nestled in the neighborhood of East Grand Rapids, the premier event currently offers triathlon, duathlon and aquabike for athletes. The race supports the goal of a first time triathlete entering the arena to an experienced athlete achieving a personal record.

    46th Annual Eastown! Streetfair

    Project 1 by ArtPrize

    The ArtPrize organization produces open citywide contemporary art experiences that encourage critical discourse, celebrate artists, transform urban space and promote cultural understanding. Project 1 is the next evolution of ArtPrize, the first in a series of citywide, community-oriented public art commissions to take place between biennial ArtPrize competitions. The Project 1 exhibition will occupy multiple outdoor sites in Grand Rapids and will feature temporary public artworks by 3-5 artists. The seven week run will be punctuated by a series of events, volunteer opportunities, educational programs and performances.

    Walk to Defeat ALS

    Cost: There is no fee to participate in the Walk to Defeat ALS, but fundraising is encouraged. Funds raised contribute to local care service programs, global ALS research, and nationwide advocacy. Join the Walk to Defeat ALS. ALS is Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, a form of motor neuron disease. It is also known as Lou Gehrig's disease. Fundraising through the Walk drives bold and urgent innovation as people march together toward a treatment and ultimately a cure for ALS. Your participation in the Walk to Defeat ALS has a direct impact on people living with ALS and their families at the local level. Through education, support groups, access to care and advocacy, they are working to defeat ALS and provide hope to people living with ALS and their families.
