The West Michigan Chalk Art Festival brings children and adult artists together for two days of art and competition.

The festival is June 19 - 20 in Byron Center.

This weekend's West Michigan Chalk Art Festival is at 84th Street and Byron Center Avenue in Byron Center.

Adult artists will compete and create art from noon - 9 p.m. on Friday.

Artists who register may compete for cash prizes in three different categories: Adult, Youth (12-17), and Family/Team. Award winners will be announced at 5 p.m. on Saturday.

Saturday's highlights include a free KidsChalk Event. All children 11 years old and younger will be provided with chalk. The KidsChalk Event is 11 a.m. - 3 p.m. There is no cost or registration required.

The chalk festival will take place rain or shine and runs until 9 p.m. on Saturday, June 20.
