This Winter Is Michigan’s Second Warmest Winter In The State’s History!

2012 will literally go down in the history books as one of the warmest Winters in Michigan's history.  While this has been heaven for me, not so much for the folks who enjoy all the Winter Wonderland activities.  If you are one of the Michiganders who look forward to Winter and  skiing, snowboarding, ice skating, tobogganing, cross country skiing and anything else I may have forgotten, well this kind of weather doesn't happen that often does it?

Recently, Boyne Highlands received just enough snowfall that a number of West Michigan families piled into their cars and headed up north.  Sure the resorts have been enhancing the lack of snowfall by making some artificially but no one does the job as well as mother nature.  Thousands of gallons of water are pumped out to make artificial snow to keep the snow bunnies happy.
