On Wednesday, Meijer announced a number of new stores and remodels planned for 2013.

There is no better indication that West Michigan is a wonderful place to live than the "Simply Give" program held last week by Meijer.
Meijer customers donated $145,800 throughout the week that helps food pantries throughout the Midwest restock their shelves.
There's trouble out there with thousands of bikes sold at Meijer the spring and summer. They are recalling 68,000 bikes after 29 reports of pedals detaching or coming loose during use, resulting in 16 reports of minor injuries.
Anyone who bought one of these bikes should immediately stopped using the them.

Fred Meijer was well-known for years of leading Meijer grocery stores. He was also greatly respected for his work as a philanthropist in West Michigan.
Meijer died Friday night following a stroke.
