The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) will suspend construction on 114 of 155 active projects statewide for Labor Day weekend.

The yearly Grand Crossings Bridge Walk is set for Monday morning in downtown Grand Rapids.
The walk will start at 8 a.m. at Ah-Nab-Awen Park at the Gerald R. Ford Presidential Museum and will be led by Grand Rapids Mayor George Heartwell.
To make travel easier, the Michigan Department of Transportation will lift most road restrictions over Labor Day weekend, with 126 of 156 construction projects having lane restrictions lifted for the weekend.
