‘The Breakfast Club’ princess Claire Standish may be a snob, but she’s not without her talents. After all, she can sing!
Molly Ringwald, who, of course, played Claire in The Breakfast Club, has a new jazz album, and she tackles ‘Don’t You (Forget About Me),’ originally recorded by Simple Minds in 1985 for the cult-classic coming-of-age movie.
For 130 years St. Cecilia Music Center has been known by audiences and artists alike as one of the finest establishments to hear and see world-renowned musicians. The building at the corner of Ransom and Fulton Streets, built in 1894, has been in continuous operation as a music center since that time. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
The St. Cecilia Music Center is becoming the place to be...the "hot-bed" of music in Grand Rapids. St. Cecilia began their new campaign “NYC2GR” depicting top-notch New York City caliber performances and St. Cecilia Music Center’s new partnership with the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center in New York, and now, they keep amazing us with the caliber of their jazz series.
