St. Cecilia Music Center Drops Out of ArtPrize, Artist Registration Extended to June 9

Today, ArtPrize announced they are extending artist registration for ArtPrize Eight by one week after St. Cecilia Music Center pulled out of this year's competition.

The new artist registration deadline is June 9 at 5PM. Connections are extended through June 23 at 5PM.

The extension is designed to help musicians affected by the change of venue, but artists of any medium may take advantage of the extension.

Long-time ArtPrize Venue and music hub, St. Cecilia Music Center, is taking a one-year hiatus from ArtPrize as they undergo renovations. This year's music hub will now be The Blue Bridge Venue.

Musicians connected with The Blue Bridge Venue will have the opportunity to compete for $10,000 in independently-organized awards, decided equally by public vote and expert jury. Ten $1,000 prizes will be awarded, two in each category: Rock/Blues, Classical, Jazz, Folk/Country, and Pop/Electronica.

The Blue Bridge Music Festival from September 30 - October 1 will bring two days of music. Throughout the rest of ArtPrize, The Blue Bridge Sessions will bring 30-minute busking performances.
